Turning Thoughts Into Money, Success, And True Fulfillment

What was your experience of self-doubt?

When I decided to move into business coaching, I didn't realize how much my mind would resist. I had been helping clients in my physical products business on the side because it was fun. I would assist people in achieving things they had struggled with for 12 to 24 months, and it was effortless and rewarding. So, it made sense to exit my company and focus on coaching full-time. But the moment it became my main focus, that's when I faced real opposition. It felt like a challenge to see how committed I was to helping others shine.

I would wake up dreading the day, something I had never experienced before. I was angry—at myself for making an irreversible decision, at God for calling me in this direction, and even at my spouse and kids. Still, I kept moving forward. It was a choice and a commitment. There were many times I thought about returning to product design, which I knew well and had proven success in.

But in those quiet moments, when the still small voice inside me was louder, I knew this was the path God had for me. He wasn't forcing me, but I knew it was my calling. Yet, even though I said I wanted what God had for me, I was actively resisting it. I had many questions and felt unqualified—I didn't have a certification. The principles I taught came from my own hard-earned experiences, and there was no moment when someone declared, "Now, you are qualified to help others achieve their dreams."

It was easy to doubt myself and wonder whether this resistance came from an adversary or my own mind. I had many moments of self-doubt, questioning my right to guide others in their businesses. There were times when that inner voice challenged me, asking, "Who do you think you are?" and I didn't always have an answer. Those moments were terrifying.

How can entrepreneurs benefit from aligning their minds, hearts, and actions?

If you can align your thoughts, feelings, and actions, you create a powerful connection. For me, this is where I connect deeply with God. We're taught that God is in the present moment. When my mind, heart, and actions are aligned, I am present, and therefore connected with God. This alignment allows me to be more influenced by His spirit. That inner voice becomes louder, giving me the courage to act on it. That is the key.

What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?

My advice to the listeners: Look five years into the future and ask yourself if you will regret not making a change. If so, act now. You can shape your life and avoid that regret. If you already regret not doing something five years ago, use that as fuel to change now. I built a business over seven years, and it was a wild, complex ride. When I exited, I decided to design my next business differently. For the last seven years, I have not been busy. I've created a significant impact and made more money while working less than 20 hours a week. That was intentional because connecting with God and being present with my kids is important to me. Now, I am at a new precipice, looking five to seven years ahead, asking what I might regret if I don't make changes now.
