The Wake-Up Call You Need

What are some effective methods for building relationships and driving sales?

When I began my career, I realized that success leaves clues, and following the strategies I learned was crucial. There are specific content strategies that engage and interest people. It's essential to know how to converse privately in DMs (direct messages) to build rapport, assess compatibility, and potentially move the discussion to a sales call. This approach is fundamental in online sales, particularly in the coaching industry. I mentor others on how to create compelling content that attracts and retains interest, which is a critical first step in building and scaling a coaching business.

What strategies can business owners use to build trust?

Establishing trust is crucial. I no longer sell directly over the phone or Zoom. Instead, when I speak with someone, I focus on understanding their daily routines and mental state. I also inquire about the most important aspects of their life, such as whether they are a father, a husband, or a business owner. This helps me determine if their current level of achievement is impacting these critical areas of their life. A successful sales call should resemble a coaching session, where the client experiences epiphanies and breakthroughs. By challenging their perspectives, I help them realize new insights, reinforcing the value of our conversation.

Why do many people feel stuck in life despite being unhappy with their circumstances?

Let’s talk about your inner thermostat. Have you heard of the concept? It’s the idea that everyone has a set point—like a thermostat. If your thermostat is set at 60, you might operate at 70 or 80 for a while, but you’ll always revert to 60. That set point reflects your identity and self-worth—what you believe you can accomplish.

As a kid, I believed I had ability and big dreams, but life threw some heavy challenges my way. My parents battled addiction, leading to prison and the streets, and I lost them at a young age. I struggled with addiction for 10 years and eventually faced life in prison. I wasted a decade of my life and found myself in a jail cell, ashamed of the effort I had given and the person I had become. The image people had of me wasn’t who I truly was.

I think many people experience this. Over time, they settle, adopt a new identity, and lose sight of their true selves. They go through life reacting—getting a job, paying bills, raising kids—until one day, they realize they’re not happy. They don’t like their career, their body, or their bank account, but they feel stuck because change is scary.

When I coach men, I ask, “What’s your why?” Many say it’s their wife and kids. Then I point out their actions: they’re out of shape, stuck in a job they hate, or drinking excessively. I challenge them, “Is your wife and kids really your why? If so, why don’t your actions reflect it?”

Often, their deeper “why” has to be personal—something from their childhood or a moment of clarity about who they want to be. For me, it was that jail cell moment when I felt like I was losing my life. God gave me a second chance, and I refuse to waste it. Every day, I’m driven by the pain of that experience and the opportunity to honor the second chance I’ve been given. I want to be there for my wife, kids, and the men I coach, but ultimately, I do it for me. That’s what keeps my fire burning, 24/7.

Why do most people struggle to take consistent action toward their goals?

We all possess the answers to our problems. Everyone knows what changes are necessary to grow into the person they want to become. When you fail to take action, feelings of regret, negative self-talk, and shame arise. Most people struggle to consistently take action that aligns with their conscience's call because they doubt the path, find it challenging, lack support, or find it hard to change old habits and ways of living.

First of all, we all have the answers to our problems right now. Deep down, everyone knows what they need to do to grow into the person they want to become. When you don’t take action, you feel regret, negative self-talk, and shame. Most people struggle to consistently take action aligned with their conscience because they doubt the path, find it too hard, lack support, or are trapped by old habits. Changing those habits and that way of living can be incredibly difficult.

That’s why people reach out to me. We create a customized plan for them and provide accountability and support. You need to be in an environment where you’re hearing conversations about change, seeing others transform, and following a plan that rewires how you see yourself and what you believe is possible. That’s why I created Unstoppable.

The truth is, you don’t need me—you can do it on your own if you listen to your conscience and have the courage to act. However, many people struggle to do this alone. If you want to expedite the process and gain support from people who will hold you accountable and truly want the best for you, reach out to us. How can business owners find deeper meaning in pursuing goals?

I could pursue my goals alone, but it wouldn't hold the same meaning for me. I strive to make my wife proud and to make myself proud as well. I aim to do things every day that deepen her love for me. I care about her immensely and cannot imagine life without her. She inspires gratitude and emotion in me that I wouldn't experience on my own. Together, bringing children into this world adds depth to my journey that goes beyond merely chasing money, building businesses, or conquering personal goals. This partnership brings much more meaning to everything I do.
